At Rolay Research, our mission is to advance humanity through the development, application, and transfer of important power converter systems technologies. We achieve this through four interconnected activities: We design — creating power electronics hardware and control systems based on first principles, utilizing wide bandgap semiconductor technology, advanced simulation, and FPGA-based digital control to produce converters that redefine performance, density, and reliability. We advise — delivering the strategic and technical intelligence that organizations need for design validation in the rapidly evolving power electronics landscape, empowering them to make informed technology decisions and accelerate their time to market for competitive products. We educate — enhancing power electronics capabilities in engineers, teams, and institutions through structured courses, corporate training, and AI-assisted design tools that ensure deep technical knowledge is available at the point of need. We originate — developing proprietary converter topologies, control algorithms, gate driver circuits, and reference designs that form a growing portfolio of licensable intellectual property, serving as the compounding asset base of a technology company, not merely a consultancy.

Rolay Research is currently a founder-led organisation, and deliberately so. In its early phase, the depth and consistency of the technical output are the product. Rolay Research is currently a founder-led organisation, and deliberately so. In its early phase, the depth and consistency of the technical output are the product. As the organisation grows, the team will expand in three directions: Associate engineers — experienced power electronics engineers engaged on a project basis, extending Rolay Research's capacity across specific technology domains including design validation for power converter systems, magnetics design, EMC, and embedded firmware. Research collaborators — academic and institutional partners contributing to IP development programmes, co-funded research bids, and the development of KaaS curriculum content. Operations and business development — as the IP and product revenue streams mature, dedicated resources for lifecycle management, IP management, licensing, and business development will be brought in to scale what the technical team originates.

Insight as a Service equips organizations with the architectural guidance, technology roadmapping, and strategic intelligence necessary to navigate the power electronics landscape confidently, structured as retained advisory or project-based consultancy. KaaS — Knowledge as a Service. Our structured power electronics education builds capability at scale through Knowledge as a Service, offering scalable learning options such as online courses, corporate training programs, university partnerships, and AI-assisted design tools — all available via the RoRe Academy platform and tailored institutional arrangements. IPaaP — IP as a Product.
